Guarderia to Guarderia

Along the trail from Guarderia to Guarderia

The morning of November 21st was spent on a half day hike along the eastern boundary of the park from the Lago Sarmiento Entrance Station to the Laguna Amarga Entrance Station. The main sights of interest along this hike were the wildlife. Guanacos and Andean condors were seen in abundance. We were told that grey foxes were often seen on this trail, but we didn't see any. The other stop of interest was a rock alcove that contained cave paintings. These are simple paintings that no one seems to really know what they mean or what they represent.
